Rebozo education and labor preparation for parents and their birth team.
I am now fully vaccinated. Most Bay Area hospitals allow a second support person. I am offering in person support at home and at the hospital. If you plan to give birth in a hospital that still allows only 1 support person, I offer support in person at home then switch to virtual.
All interviews are now done via Zoom. Classes, Breech consults, prenatal and postpartum sessions are available in person (available for indoor or outdoor meetings, masks, distancing as needed).
Please reach out to get as much support and information as it is possible to get while sheltering in place.
The Rebozo is a long hand woven scarf traditionally worn by Mexican, and other Central American women. It is not only a colorful garment, but used for many different things, such as carrying heavy objects, babies and to ease pregnancy, labor and birth.
In this class I will teach partners how to create connection, skills and techniques of the rebozo to help the birthing person and provide comfort, strength and relaxation in labor and birth. A labor preparation class full of fun and useful tips, where the partners, family members and other birth companions get to practice and be pampered as well.
